Cutty Sark is a blended Scotch whiskey produced in Scotland by La Martiniquaise. It was created on March 23, 1923 as a product of Berry Bros. & Rudd, with the first home of the mix thought to be at The Glenrothes distillery in Scotland’s Speyside region.
US distribution
Buckingham Co. supplied Cutty Sark in the United States until it was purchased by Allied Lyons (later Allied Domecq) in 1989. In 1999, Skyy Spirits purchased the distribution rights from Allied Domeq. Following Edrington’s acquisition of the brand, Skyy’s US distribution was transferred to Rémy Cointreau US. In 2014, Edrington established its own distribution unit in the United States.
