The movie kicks off by introducing us to Zoya Singh Solanki, a young woman who seems to be jinxed when it comes to love and her professional life. Her life takes a downward spiral when her wealthy dentist boyfriend breaks up with her, and her boss at the advertising agency becomes increasingly dissatisfied with her work.

However, fate has other plans for Zoya when she gets the opportunity to shoot an advertisement with the Indian cricket team in Sri Lanka. Here, she accidentally crosses paths with Nikhil Khoda (Dulquer Salmaan), the Indian team captain who is a firm believer in hard work and is determined to rid his team of superstitions.

During breakfast with the team, Zoya shares a remarkable detail about her birth – she was born on the day India won its first World Cup. This revelation leads the team to believe that Zoya might be their lucky mascot.

Soon, Zoya’s luck seems to work wonders as the Indian cricket team secures a victory in Sri Lanka. However, this newfound success irritates Nikhil, who becomes increasingly attracted to Zoya but despises the media for attributing their wins to her presence.

Things take a twist when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) learns about Zoya’s lucky charm status and decides to hire her as their Official Lucky Mascot. Nikhil is unhappy with this decision and asks Zoya to leave immediately. In anger, Zoya returns home, but Nikhil soon visits her, apologizing for his actions and confessing his true feelings for her. Zoya gladly accepts his love, turning down the Board’s offer.

To ensure Zoya’s return to the ad agency, Robin, the previous captain of the Indian Cricket Team, offers another advertising contract with Zoya as the head. This development not only brings joy to Zoya but also marks a turning point in her career.

However, the couple’s efforts to keep their relationship a secret eventually fail when Robin discovers their affair. He warns Zoya that Nikhil is only interested in her to make himself the star player of the team.

Initially skeptical of Robin’s claims, Zoya is devastated when she receives a video that reveals a conversation between Nikhil and a reporter. In this conversation, Nikhil discusses the plan to make Zoya fall in love with him through his charm, ensuring her rejection of the Board’s offer. Feeling betrayed, Zoya confronts Nikhil, who attempts to explain that Robin is using her to get to him, but his efforts prove futile.

Nikhil offers Zoya double the original contract’s amount to stay away from his team, leading Zoya to break up with him. She decides to accept the Board’s offer and become the Lucky Mascot.

Zoya’s presence continues to bring luck to the Indian cricket team, and she is hailed as the “Cricket Goddess” by the media. However, Nikhil requests that Zoya be left out of one less crucial match. Despite the match’s apparent ease, Robin deliberately loses it, fueling the belief that Zoya is indeed their lucky charm, and they cannot win without her.

During an ad shoot where Zoya is portrayed as a goddess, she realizes that even if Team India wins the World Cup, people will credit her instead of acknowledging Nikhil’s hard work. Realizing that both Robin and his uncle have been using her to dethrone Nikhil from captaincy, Zoya decides to break the contract and refuses to attend the Final Match between India and Sri Lanka.

As a result, Zoya faces backlash from the public, with the BCCI branding her a traitor and hundreds of people gathering outside her house, pelting stones.

Despite the odds stacked against them, the Indian Cricket Team decides to play the final match without Zoya. Nikhil delivers a passionate speech, reminding the team that they have worked tirelessly to reach this point and do not need a “Lucky Mascot” to win. Motivated by Nikhil’s words, the team performs exceptionally well, defeating Sri Lanka and winning the match.

In the epilogue, Nikhil and Zoya get married and establish a rule to never have breakfast before a match, symbolizing their newfound belief in hard work and strategy over superstition. The Indian Cricket Team also sheds its superstitions and embraces the importance of hard work. Robin and his uncle face suspension from the BCCI for their underhanded tactics, while Zoya resigns from her job and starts her own advertising agency.
