The film opens with a young Ram Charan, known as Ram, being adopted by four brothers: Konidela Bhuvan Kumar, Sekar, Raju, and Madhunandan. As a child, Ram is compelled to kill a kidnapper who intended to eliminate them as witnesses to his crimes. Dr. Konidela Subramanyam, who learns of this incident, decides to raise the orphaned boys as his own children.

Years pass, and Ram enjoys a happy life with his adopted brothers, their wives, and children. Bhuvan, one of the brothers, now serves as the chief election commissioner, with Ram and the others as his subordinates. Ram falls in love with Sita, the daughter of a women’s rights activist named Puppy, and they become engaged. Ballem Balaram, an aspiring politician, attempts to bribe Bhuvan, who had confiscated his illicit money. Bhuvan refuses, leading to Balaram threatening him. However, Ram confronts Balaram in front of the media, asserting his family’s integrity.

In retaliation, Balaram’s brother-in-law, Pandem Parasuram, urges Bhuvan to apologize, but Ram intervenes and defeats him. Humiliated, Parasuram seeks the help of Shankar, a ruthless encounter specialist. Shankar takes Ram’s family hostage, and Ram arrives at the scene to apologize to Parasuram. However, Bihar-based goons, sent by the tyrant Raja Bhai, confront Ram. He defeats them all but is eventually captured and taken to Raja Bhai.

The narrative shifts to the past, revealing that Bhuvan had been sent to Bihar as the election commissioner while Ram traveled to Gujarat with his family and Sita to visit a temple. Bhuvan and his subordinates are captured and brought before Raja Bhai. Ram receives a call from Bhuvan and rushes to the location, where he single-handedly defeats 300 men. However, he is also captured and taken to Raja Bhai. A fierce battle ensues, resulting in Bhuvan being fatally stabbed by Raja Bhai. Ram inflicts severe injuries on Raja Bhai, sending him into a coma. Bhuvan succumbs to his wounds, leaving Ram and his brothers in deep sorrow.

In the present, Ram’s elder sister-in-law, Gayathri Devi, discovers the truth and urges Ram to take her to Bhuvan’s funeral pyre and then confront Raja Bhai. Raja Bhai eventually awakens from his coma, and Gayathri challenges him to face Ram. Ram takes on Raja Bhai’s henchmen and ultimately beheads Raja Bhai with a sword attached to a tree, avenging Bhuvan’s death. Ram reunites with Sita, and the family finds closure after their long ordeal.

“Vinaya Vidheya Rama” opens with a young Ram Charan, affectionately known as Ram, being adopted by four brothers: Konidela Bhuvan Kumar, Sekar, Raju, and Madhunandan. His life takes a dramatic turn when, at a tender age, he is forced to kill a kidnapper who posed a threat to their lives as witnesses to his crimes. Dr. Konidela Subramanyam, a compassionate doctor, discovers this incident and decides to raise these orphaned boys as his own children.

Years go by, and the brothers grow up, leading happy lives with their wives and children. Bhuvan, the eldest, becomes the chief election commissioner, with Ram and the others working under him. Ram falls deeply in love with Sita, the daughter of a women’s rights activist named Puppy, and they soon get engaged. Trouble brews when Ballem Balaram, an ambitious politician, attempts to bribe Bhuvan after his illicit money is seized. Bhuvan, standing firm on principles, refuses the bribe, infuriating Balaram. Ram, fearless and unwavering, confronts Balaram publicly, defending his family’s integrity.

Balaram’s brother-in-law, Pandem Parasuram, urges Bhuvan to apologize, but Ram intervenes and defeats Parasuram, leaving him humiliated. Seeking revenge, Parasuram turns to Shankar, a ruthless encounter specialist, who takes Ram’s family hostage. Ram arrives at the scene to apologize to Parasuram, unaware of the danger awaiting him. Confronted by goons from Bihar, sent by the formidable dictator Raja Bhai, Ram fights valiantly and defeats them all. However, he is eventually captured and taken to Raja Bhai.

The story then delves into the past, shedding light on Bhuvan’s mission as the election commissioner in Bihar and Ram’s trip to Gujarat with his family and Sita. In Bihar, Bhuvan and his subordinates are apprehended and brought before the menacing Raja Bhai. Ram receives a desperate call from Bhuvan and rushes to the scene, where he engages in a one-man battle against 300 adversaries. Despite his incredible display of courage, Ram is overpowered and taken captive by Raja Bhai. A fierce confrontation between the two ensues, resulting in Bhuvan being fatally wounded by Raja Bhai. Ram inflicts grave injuries on Raja Bhai, leaving him in a coma. Tragically, Bhuvan succumbs to his injuries, leaving Ram and his brothers devastated.

In the present, the truth about Bhuvan’s fate is revealed to Gayathri Devi, Ram’s elder sister-in-law. Vinaya Vidheya Rama Movie Review Filmyzilla

“Vinaya Vidheya Rama” is a 2019 Telugu action film directed by Boyapati Srinu, featuring Ram Charan in the lead role. The movie boasts a star-studded cast, including Prashanth, Vivek Oberoi, and Kiara Advani. However, despite the considerable hype surrounding its release, the film falls short of expectations, ultimately failing to deliver a satisfying cinematic experience.

The film is set in the familiar backdrop of action-packed Telugu commercial cinema, where larger-than-life heroes take center stage. While these films are not known for their realism, they often succeed in providing audiences with an enjoyable, adrenaline-pumping experience. However, “Vinaya Vidheya Rama” struggles to strike the right balance between its exaggerated action sequences and a coherent, engaging narrative.

Director Boyapati Srinu, known for his ability to blend emotion with action, seems to lose his touch in this film. The emotional depth that could have added meaning to the high-octane action sequences is missing. Instead, the movie becomes a series of over-the-top fight scenes that lack a compelling emotional core.

Ram Charan, who plays the role of Ram, delivers a confident performance and makes valiant efforts to inject emotion into his character. However, even his earnest performance cannot salvage the film’s weak script and shallow character development. The supporting cast, including Prashanth and Vivek Oberoi, fails to leave a significant impact. Oberoi’s portrayal of Raja Bhai, the antagonist, comes across as cartoonish and lacking depth. His sadistic tendencies, such as making victims wear bangles and anklets to dance in the streets, feel more like caricature than menace.

The female characters in the film, including Kiara Advani as Sita and Sneha, are disappointingly one-dimensional. They often serve as passive figures, relying on the male characters for salvation and hope. This portrayal reinforces a typical patriarchal setup seen in many Indian films, where female characters have limited agency and depth.

The film’s music and background score, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, do little to enhance the viewing experience. The songs lack memorable melodies, and the background score fails to create the desired impact during crucial moments.

One of the film’s major drawbacks is its lack of logical coherence. While logic is not always a priority in action-oriented films, “Vinaya Vidheya Rama” pushes the boundaries of believability to an extreme. For instance, the entire subplot involving Prashanth’s character sending an untraceable location via WhatsApp to Ram Charan feels laughable and implausible, even within the context of a commercial potboiler.

In summary, “Vinaya Vidheya Rama” falls short of expectations and fails to deliver the engaging and emotionally resonant experience that audiences typically seek in commercial Telugu cinema. While Ram Charan’s efforts to infuse depth into his character are commendable, they are ultimately undermined by a weak script, one-dimensional characters, and exaggerated action sequences. The film struggles to strike a balance between larger-than-life entertainment and meaningful storytelling, resulting in a misfire on most counts.
